GAMbling

u all know i'm a gambling man
well, let's juz talk about it for a while
i realli canot believe how bad my luck
has been so far recently that i juz canot belive it.
i haven won a single bet since world cup starts.
n i'm telling u betted onli like 25 each match or mayb even 5 dollar a match
yet, i can lose over 200 dollars already
well, partly due to i du lan n try to recoup by placing a 100 dollar bet
u noe, those double or nothing theory

juz wana u to noe how addictive gambling can be
it;s the human greed that makes ppl lose n lose
when one lose, one has the urge to bet again to recover what they lose
n when he lose again, he again wan to recoup.
some ppl are worse.they place bigger bets after each loss , not onli to recover wat they lose but to also profit at the same time.

i have a fren whu nvr betted b4 but betted 25 dollars juz for the excitement for watching the world cup.n he lost . as with all first time gamblers, he has this urge to want to win back..keep wanting to bet again.

the chinese has a saying, " 9 out of 10 gamblers lose money".
now, let mi say this, for one to win money, not onli muz one hav some luck, they muz also have a solid self control ability and not be overcome by greed
when u win, tt's it.take the money and be happy...dun bet anymore.when u lose, stop it, dun think of recovering back.accept it as a lesson learnt n stop gambling.

but sadly, say easy do is another thing

how many ppl can actually exercise this kind of iron-willed self control?


like mi myse;lf, i fully noe wat's wrong n how addicted i m to gambling..yet when my frens try to warn mi, i still canot stop myself.

i was reading the newspaper yesterday and i saw in the sports section this little advertisement. u noe how the newpaper always have those advertisement that ask punters to call for tips on soccer matches?
this advertisement that caught my eye was a little different
this one was advertising a helpline for addicted gamblers whu want to stop but canot stop

it juz bring mi to the casino issue
obviously, with the introduction of the casino, a whole lot more ppl is gg to get addicted to gambling
inevitably, there will be social problems attributed to the influence of the casino
the government acknowledge this problem will come to exist, yet say that they have taken full measures to prevent and try to curb these problems from arising.
well, let's juz say it this way
if u noe there will be social problems created , y not prevent them in the first place
y go all the way to create the problem then implement measure to curb them


but then again, the government believed that the building of the integrated resort with a casino is a well taken risk.they believe the benefits of the casino will outweight the problems it will too bring...
if that is the case, if that is how singapore muz go in order to survive as a nation economically, then i'm for it and hopefuly, the government is right.
