AFter watching the televised dialogue forum between MM Lee Kuan Yew and a group of journalists and undergraduate,i find myself greatly disliking one of the member of the grp, journalist Lee Chin Wern.Somehow or rather, she seems to think too highly of herself and was never respectful and tactful when talking to the MM.
Lee Kuan Yew, despite what u miss lee think, is still the man whose efforts has helped made singapore successful today.Simply put, if not for his efforts,chances are Miss lee yaself will not be sitting there in the forum , dressed up all nice nice and in the pink of health.For watever faults u think MM has, he at least deserve that bit of respect that one should show even when u wan to "personally attack" him. Miss Lee's behaviour was disgraceful and rude.she fold her arms when talking , a gesture that reeks of disrespect.She try to cut into everyone's words when MM or the other speakers was speaking.The qns she asked could had been handled with more tact.
Frankly, i think that she think being the chosen few to participate in the dialouge with MM make her SSooooo lihai.Then there was the other bespectacled guy journalist,whu ask about why MM is not stepping down , y make himself MM when he can juz be a MP instead....U can detect the sadness in MM when he heard that.And i agree with MM that the wealth of knowledge and experience he has will be better served in the capacity of MM.
The ignorant journalists mentioned above should learn from the other Straits Times journalist.(i think his name is ken kwek but i not sure, the tall no specs guy who say that he survey 100 ppl and find that ppl are scare of voicing agaisnt government.) To his credit, he handled himself very well in his "debate with MM and was calm and respectful when putting forward his points.Ok , my point is, if u wan to argue, show composure and respect, not be all worked up like Miss lee and be so rude as to keep fighting to be the one to be talking.
MM lee was calm in the heat of debate haha...wat more do u expect?Like my relatives who were watching with me say, how to talk win MM?He spent a lifetime defying critics and overcoming numerous difficulties. The way he insist on finishing his words without interupption, the way he cut short any of the grp member's qn, the way he "cross-examined" every qn, particularly asking Mr kwek to name the ppl who the latter say is scared of the government....
Dun get mi wrong.I'm not pro-PAP. i juz saying from a neutral pioint of view.The way MM handled himself and the brillance shown in his replies certainly impress mi..It is hard to refute his answers because most of the things he says is right and logical .

i had been on leave for a week now
and yet, the onli significant thing i hav done is learning to drive.
other than that , i has been rotting at home playing dota, which is,simply a perfect way to waste time.
i read zhongyi's recent articles on his blog where he lament that he is not living his life to the max.
i wonder how many times at the start of each long holiday term,i have promised myself i will spend my time well learning stuff and always, i end up wasting it away by playing or simply slacking away.
my NZ trip preparation and jap lessons are gg up in smoke for i simply dun have the money now .And i'm very sorri about it, jiamao and zhaofeng...
all the medical fees for my leg and driving lessons is burning a hole in my pocket....
the bright spark is that mum has offered to pay for a overseas holidays .She feels that i should go overseas to enjoy myself at least once since i have never done that before..
but i dunno/.....

21st birthday

Juz how will each of you celebrate your 21st birthday?
Jesher celebrated his by hosting a grand dinner at the meritius mandarin.Junhao is organising a barbecue at his chalet.Judy organised a party at her house with a beach wear theme.
it seems that everyone feels that thier 21st birthday is worth a bigger celebration than usual....
even mum has been telling mi the 21st birthday should be celebrated with "more style"...
